Steve Maddock is one of BC’s most versatile vocal talents. He has performed with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, been featured on CBC and CTV, and has sung in an eclectic mix of vocal ensembles. Jazz-wise, Steve thrives in a variety of settings: solo or duo gigs in cocktail lounges, small group shows in clubs, or sharing a concert stage with a 20-piece big band. His discography as a leader includes The Blues Project, Memory Cafe, and a self-titled debut album released in 1999. After graduating from a performing arts high school just west of Toronto, Steve studied acting & musical theatre at the University of Windsor, Ontario. Recent stage credits include Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Guys & Dolls, The Sound of Music, Annie, and Jesus Christ Superstar. Steve moved to BC in 1990 to study jazz at Capilano University, and has been a vocal instructor at Capilano since 1996.
