St Philip's music director Michael Murray invites you to sing along with your favourite songs from Jesus Christ Superstar, backed by three choirs, three soloists, and a nine-piece rock band. Jesus Christ Superstar was created in 1970 as a ground-breaking British rock double-album, and developed into a rock opera arena concert and then a musical by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Tim Rice. It follows Jesus through the last tumultuous weeks of his life and examines how the people around him related to him, and were changed.
Even if you think you can't sing, come to enjoy fellowship and memorable music. Invite your friends! Admission is by donation, $20 suggested. Doors open at 3:30 pm.
